Join BACR

The BACR offers two levels of membership: Full and Student - student members enjoy a 50% reduction of the full members fee for a period of 3 years, or the period in which they are in receipt of a student stipend. Student classification: those undertaking a full-time PhD and clinicians in full time research posts working towards a higher degree. In addition to the application, a letter from the Head of Department or Supervisor confirming their student status should be submitted.

Subscription Information for Tax Returns

You should be aware that you are entitled to claim tax relief on your BACR subscription. Applications are usually supported by nomination from two BACR members. However, if the applicant does not have this support then they should contact the BACR Secretariat for assistance. Election to membership takes place at the Annual General Business Meeting, which is usually held at the NCRI (National Cancer Research Institute) Cancer Conference in October each year. Full and Student members become eligible to apply for the Association's Fellowships & Bursaries one year from the date of application.
