With the emergence in recent years of several novel molecules with putative efficacy in cancer management, the search for biomarkers of response which can potentially be used in their clinical evaluation is extremely topical. The objective of this conference is to provide a state-of-the-art overview of biomarkers in cancer chemotherapy and chemoprevention. It is aimed at researchers (basic scientists and clinicians) engaged in translational cancer pharmacology and new anticancer drug development in academia, industry and hospitals.
