The Executive Committee is comprised of 3 Officers; Chairman, Honorary Secretary, Honorary Treasurer and 9 ordinary members.
Election to the Executive takes place at the Annual General Business Meeting each year.
The Executive Committee is responsible for ensuring that the aims/objectives of the Association, as set out in the Constitution (or available on request to the Secretariat) are met.
The aims are achieved by the organisation of scientific meetings/conferences and workshops as reflected by the diverse interests of the membership; by the awarding of funds to its members to promote scientific exchange of research between individuals and/or research groups and to support attendance/presentation at other scientific meetings of interest and relevance. These activities comply with the educational remit encompassed in the Constitution.
As Trustees of a registered charity it is also the responsibility of the members of the Executive Committee to ensure the proper financial management of the Association and its accounts.
