Communications Manager

About the role:

An exciting opportunity is currently available for a Communications Manager to join the Manchester Cancer Research Centre (MCRC) Operations team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of a range of internal and external communications plans that support the MCRC and CRUK Manchester Centre, and are aligned with the achievement of our strategic vision.

The post holder will manage and deliver on the communications needs of the MCRC Director and wider Operations team, maximising the impact of our communications to all relevant stakeholders.

About you:


They are looking for an organised, self-motivated and dynamic individual to work closely with colleagues in the MCRC Operations team to deliver across our communications activities.


You should have significant experience of working in a communications role, and experience of working in Higher Education and/or a healthcare setting is desirable.


You will serve as a key leader, encouraging joint working and maximising opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness amongst colleagues working in communications and marketing teams of the MCRC and our partner organisations.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level (or have the equivalent relevant work experience).
