In summer 2023, the BACR held a conference for early career researchers (ECRs): Trailblazers in Cancer Research the Next Generation. Our ECR committee of Kyle Greenland (Imperial College, London), Giorgia Cioccoloni (University of Leeds), Connor Rogerson (University of Cambridge), Kathryn Pennel (University of Glasgow) and Francis M Barnieh (University of Bradford and ECR committee chair) worked hard to put together an exciting programme and obtained sponsorship to pull off what was a highly successful event.
