Legacy

The British Association for Cancer Research (BACR) wishes to acknowledge the generous bequests received over the last few years. We express our deepest gratitude to:

Their generosity has made it possible for BACR to continue to promote the advances in research in relation to all aspects of cancer and encourage the exchange of information, particularly for the next generation of cancer researchers.

For example, these bequests allowed BACR to run a Student Conference at the Francis Crick Institute in London in 2018, where registration was free and any travel and expenses incurred by the 100 Students who attended were reimbursed.  In addition, the BACR has provided over £150,000 in bursaries, fellowships and awards to early career cancer researchers over a three-year period.
